i have owned this beauty for a little over two years now.... its loud and now i have to replace boards, and sensors! yup you can add another $400 to the price of this fridge!!! not such a great deal, right? i have tossed the content of my fridge now for the third time..... add that too to the price. save yourself the headache and buy something else. good luck!

i really enjoyed the refrigerator, but please fix the crappy ice maker. as a another reviewer said, you have no choice for cubed or crushed. i dispenses both. also, the worst thing to me was the ice maker just quits working for no apparent reason. when you pay for a product, you expect it to work.
the ice maker doesn't work!

bought in 2018, my rs25j50 model lasted 1 1/2 years. first the freezer crashed then the fridge right behind it. i got the usual run-around from customer service. some were courteous, some impudent. intent on selling me an extended warranty. i expected better value from samsung. i thought the unit would last longer than that. i got tired of fighting and bought an lg. no more samsung.

we thought by purchasing a samsung product due to samsung's valuable reputation. that has not been the case at all. purchasing this fridge has been nothing but disappointments. the freezer side appears to have no issue. the fridge side appears to not be cooling correctly or maintaining a temp. to keep the our food products from spoiling. we first noticed when a tub of butter had mold inside, along with many other food products-alfredo sauce cheese milk breakfast sausage sour cream yogurt we have had service repairs and almost every technician that has been out can not "diagnosis" an issue.

Purchased Samsung 4 piece kitchen appliance suite from Lowe's. When refrigerator was delivered, the control module did not work. Contacted Samsung customer service and was advised to contact Lowe's since the delivery had occurred less than 48 hours prior. Lowe's replaced the refrigerator with another one that was damaged and had the insulation extruding from the bottom. Lowe's delivered a third
refrigerator and lo and behold, the control module is malfunctioning. For example: when "Ice" is depressed, the "Water" icon activates and the controls are not receptive to touch inputs and you have to press multiple times for any response. This seems to be an ongoing issue with these refrigerators, since two of the three ones that we received had faulty control modules. Samsung customer service was very helpful and a service technician will be dispatched to replace the module. I hope that corrects the problem!

We really loved it at first but at the first month we started noticing issues. The touch pad isn't very responsive and we've had to throw away groceries out on more than one occasion because the refrigerator has unexpectedly stopped working. When we call we have to go through a bunch of restarts to get it going again.

1. Door display is virtually useless. I find my self searching for my glasses in order to use the ice and water on the door.
2. It scratches and scars easily which means there will never be any magnets and photos hanging from it.
3. It is very pretty and is very well lit inside. The black stainless has a very high-end look. But not for a household with a large family. It isn't very practical.

It is hard to write a review since it was delivered just yesterday. I really like the cosmetic features such as sleek black stainless steel doors with textured black sides. The led lighting is great. My dimensions dictated the height and depth even though I had the overhead cabinet cut off an inch or so. I am having a somewhat difficult time determining on the ice maker which is what function. The function icon lights up but I will need to learn where each one is located. There is no external light (something like a night light which my previous fridge had.) Small light gray lettering on black makes it difficult to read.

I was so happy to return to a side by side after buying a house with a French door refrigerator that I hated; side by side refrigerators work much better for me. I read reviews of this refrigerator and I concur with most, the interior lighting is dim and certainly not as advertised as being lit in all areas, the blue led on the door is also very dim and until you learn the pattern of the buttons hard to see but there aren't a lot of options and it's not a big deal. I think it's just a beautiful refrigerator and I'm very happy with my purchase. My kitchen looks amazing with this lovely appliance.

Love the "black stainless", the size, how quiet it is, etc. We have had quite a few compliments. We went with the side-by-side becuase we don't like the 3rd door for the freezer as it becomes a big unorganized mess (my mother, and my wife's parents all have the 3rd door) and we didn't like that. This way you have just as much space, but can actually find things.
The only thing we would have liked is we didn't realize that there isn't a light at the ice/water dispenser. Useful when you get water/ice and the lights are off. A feature we've seen in a few of our friends appliances. Otherwise absolutely no complaints.

Well the 1st fridge we got we had to send back and get a new one because the insulation was coming out of the top of the doors and then we got the second product and the heating element in the ice maker was bad and had to have Samsung repair come out and fix it. It was not user friendly to get the water and ice started but finally got it all working and I love it now.

this is such a beautiful addition to our home except for 2 things which are, for one it has no lighting for the water and ice dispenser which makes it hard to line up the water jet at night unless you have lights on in the kitchen. very important in this home. and 2nd, if you need only a few ice cubes for a drink at night and you don`t want to wake up others sleeping, there is no way to get the ice with out pulling out the entire ice container completely, which is frozen in its track. and i don`t have the freezer turned up that far, only one bar lower then the reccomended settings. other then those features we are very happy we bought this fridge. it is beautiful.

I've had this fridge for over two months now and so far i have no complaints about the products. The Refrigerator operates very quietly and the space is more than enough for my family of 4. The only issue i have about this product is the water dispenser. For some reason it doesn't have a light when dispensing water. Other than that I'm totally satisfy with this product and would highly recommend it for anyone.

This is by far the best side-by-side I've ever owned. I have yet to fill it up due to so much space. The color of black stainless steel is so modern and works very well in my rustic kitchen. The doors are easy to open and don't slam into the wall when opened by my young toddler. I highly recommend this product for the great price and features it has.

I bought this refrigerator less than a month ago. The freezer started to work but the fridge never worked. Now both have stopped working and I have lost ALL of my food. Although it looks very nice in my kitchen, I'm forced to purchase dry ice to keep my bottled water cold and eat out until Samsung can send a repair person my way or replace this non working, defective unit. This has been a complete NIGHTMARE!!!!!!

Almost all my appliances, TV's, PC's and phones are Samsung Products. All I can say is that Samsung has consistent great product quality and value.. I will continue using Samsung for all my future purchases. The only thing I would change is add another drawer to the freezer side and the Water/Ice button needs to be illuminated.

Wanted a new fridge to replace the 15 year old freezer on top model that came with my house when I bought it back in 07. Wanted a side by side with external ice maker and water dispenser. This model had the best reviews for under 1000. All my other appliances in the kitchen were black so I wanted something that matched, the black stainless matches great while at the same time being just a step above, this fridge puts my other appliances to shame now, the finish is absolutely beautiful. I had read reviews stating that magnets would not stick to the finish and that the water filter was only replaceable from the rear of the unit, both of those were false, the water filter is inside the fridge section at the bottom and magnets stick to the front and sides just fine. The shelves on the door fit a gallon of milk just fine and the shelves are very adjustable. I can now fit 2 liters of soda in the doors or on the shelves just fine. Fridge has rollers on the bottom which made getting it into place easy, though I had to trim my cabinets above the fridge just a hair with a sander to make it fit, the fridge is every bit of 69 inches tall and there is no way to lower it at all. Havent had to level the doors but they are adjustable if needed. Ice maker looks like it will hold alot of ice, more than enough for my family of 3. Fridge is quiet except for when it dumps ice but that is to be expected and is not terribly loud. Fridge and freezer got cold within an hour of plugging it in. All in all I am very happy with this fridge.
